Childrens Ministry

Here at First Baptist Church, we believe that parents have the primary job of spiritually training and discipling their own children, and that part of our role as a church is to help them in that quest. The goal of our Children’s Ministry is to reinforce the biblical teaching that our kids receive at home, but also to provide a safe, loving place of hope and instruction for those children who don’t have a home where they are exposed to the love of God as displayed in the gospel. We accomplish this goal in a number of ways.

During the Worship Through the Word portion of our Sunday morning family Worship Service, children age 4 through 2nd grade are invited to attend an age-appropriate teaching time with some of our adult leaders. They will start in the auditorium with the regular worship service and then will be dismissed after the Songs of Praise. The children are brought back to the auditorium during Songs of Response and Reflection at the end of Worship Service. Typically, the last Sunday of the month we do not have Children’s Church and instead invite all children to stay and experience our full Sunday Morning Worship Service with the rest of our congregation.
