Children’s Ministry

Here at First Baptist Church, we believe that parents have the primary job of spiritually training and discipling their own children, and that part of our role as a church is to help them in that quest. The goal of our Children’s Ministry is to reinforce the biblical teaching that our kids receive at home, but also to provide a safe, loving place of hope and instruction for those children who don’t have a home where they are exposed to the love of God as displayed in the gospel. We accomplish this goal in a number of ways.

  • KIDS ROCK — join us Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 PM upstairs in the education building (come in through the main courtyard entrance and head up the stairs in front of you) for a fun time of games, crafts, snacks, and teaching from God’s Word.
  • Sunday School — We are currently evaluating and restructuring our Sunday morning schedule for children. For now, we are not offering a full 9:30 Sunday School class for children, but will have an adult available to lead a lesson and activity for any children who should come at that time. We hope to relaunch children’s Sunday School in the near future. Thank you for understanding.
  • Children’s Church — during the preaching portion of our Sunday morning family worship service, children from age 4 through 2nd grade are invited to attend an age-appropriate teaching time with some of our adult leaders.
  • Vacation Bible School — each summer (usually the first full week of June) we partner with Bethel Baptist Church to host Vacation Bible School for all children ages 4 through 6th grade. This years’s dates are June 3-7, 2019, from 8:30am-12:00pm each day.
